WINDSOR LOCKS- Representative Pamela Z. Sawyer (R-Bolton) has been named “Legislator of the Year” by the Connecticut Farm Bureau for her commitment to farmers and agricultural issues during the previous legislative session.
“Representative Pam Sawyer is being recognized by CT Farm Bureau as a Legislator of the Year because of her commitment to agriculture and her desire to do what she can to preserve farmland and at the same time increase financial viability in her communities,” said Randolph Blackmer, President of the Connecticut Farm Bureau. “She understands the real economic impact of our working lands to her communities.”
“I am honored by this recognition from the Connecticut Farm Bureau,” said Representative Sawyer. “Agriculture and farming are a strong and vital part of Connecticut’s heritage and economy. When we support farming, we support ourselves. I will continue to work hard on behalf of Connecticut farmers, and to support agriculture in the Connecticut General Assembly.”
The award will be presented at the Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting at the Howard Johnson’s Conference Center in Windsor Locks on November 3rd.
