Fairfield County residents gathered on June 15th to observe World Elder Abuse Awareness Day in the courtyard of The Jewish Home for the Elderly on Monday.  Leaders of local organizations serving Connecticut’s seniors shared stories of abuse and called upon residents to raise awareness about the problem.  State and local officials, as well as staff liaisons for area congressional representatives also spoke at the event.
