House Republican Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr. has appointed William C. Nimons of Ansonia to the state Special Contaminated Property Remediation and Insurance Fund Advisory Board, state Representative Jason Perillo said today.
“Bill Nimons is a highly regarded member of the Naugatuck Valley community who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to public service,” said Rep. Perillo. “Bill has established himself as a strong and thoughtful community leader who has been involved with- and honored by- countless volunteer, government, and charitable organizations, boards, and commissions. He is an outstanding choice.”
William C. Nimons is the Senior Vice President of Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan, and possesses a lifetime of experience in banking, real estate, and local government. Mr. Nimons received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, as well as a Master of Business Administration, from Sacred Heart University. Over the years, he has served as a member of many charitable and service organizations, including: Derby-Shelton Rotary Club, Boys and Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley, and the American Red Cross. He is three term member of the Ansonia Board of Education, and has previously served on the Ansonia Economic Development, Planning and Zoning, and Inland Wetlands Commissions. He and his wife Elaine have three children and three grandchildren.
