A new public access television program, “Shoreline Conversations,” begins Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m. and every Tuesday at the same time with state Rep. Marilyn Giuliano and guests discussing local topics on Comcast community access channel 19.
The first program focuses on the issue of creating new jobs, as the state comes out of the long recession. Guests are local business people: Stephen Tagliatela of Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, Alaina King of King Family Eye Care and Keith Bolles of The Shops at Saybrook Country Barn.
“This is another way to engage residents of Shoreline towns in issues affecting our state,” said Rep. Giuliano. “We invite everyone to submit comments and questions about this or other topics that affect our area.”
Viewers may contact Rep. Giuliano through her website, www.repgiuliano.com or by calling her office at 1-800-842-1423.
In the first show, running from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m., the guests discuss concerns that small business people face in Connecticut.
Rep. Giuliano said small businesses generally create some 70 percent of all jobs nationwide, and Connecticut’s task is to encourage local entrepreneurs to succeed and grow.
