Rigby, Witkos Meet Norfolk and Colebrook Constituents

NORFOLK — The state budget, loss of manufacturing jobs to southern states and the redistricting of probate courts were among the topics discussed last week during joint office hours held by Rep. John Rigby and state Sen. Kevin Witkos. The two state lawmakers met with more than a dozen residents of Norfolk and Colebrook at Greenwoods Station Pub over a three-hour period. Rigby, of Colebrook, and Canton-resident Witkos started the session by giving constituents a recap of what transpired during the 2009 legislative session, which saw the two legislators push for government spending reductions the legislature considered considering tax increases.
