Home energy conservation and energy assistance are the focus of the cable television program, “Shoreline Conversations,” airing Tuesdays Oct. 20-Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m. with state Rep. Marilyn Giuliano and guests discussing this important issue.
The program features: Catherine Lezon from Northeast Utilities discussing energy conservation, James Pestana of Community Renewal Team outlining assistance programs for eligible people and Joanne Messner of the Old Saybrook Social Services Department explaining who to call for assistance.
State- and federally-funded home heating assistance programs begin in November, and viewers are urged to apply now if they believe they may be eligible.
“This is another way to engage residents of Shoreline towns in issues affecting our state,” said Rep. Giuliano. “We invite everyone to submit comments and questions about this or other topics that affect our area.”
Viewers may contact Rep. Giuliano through her website, www.repgiuliano.com or by calling her office at 1-800-842-1423.
