Rep. Rosa Rebimbas and more than a dozen volunteers hammered, scraped, sanded and painted their way through a dreary Saturday in an effort to brighten a local family’s future. Rebimbas, president of the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Waterbury, volunteers from the House Republican Office and their friends joined several professional contractors already working on the house. Volunteers put up decorative trim, caulked around doors and windows and sanded and painted trim in order to have the family in the house before November 30.
