Congratulations to the Lyme-Old Lyme High School’s “Techno Ticks” robotics team that won the Chairman’s Award at the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition World Championship on Saturday, April 17th at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The Chairman’s Award is the highest honor given at the FRC Championship. It recognizes the team that best exemplifies the purpose and goals of FIRST and is the best model for other teams to follow.
The Techno Ticks competed against more than 340 robots from all over the world to win the honor. Over 196,000 students competed in the world-wide competition.
