Representative Rosa C. Rebimbas (R-70) and a dedicated group of volunteers spent the morning of Saturday April 10, cleaning up Naugatuck in honor of Earth Day.
Rep. Rebimbas and 15 volunteers walked up and down Meadow Street from the Senior Center to Dunkin Donuts picking up and removing litter and debris from the street and surrounding area. They collected 10 bags of garbage in a short time and made an immediate impact on the image of the downtown area.
“I’m encouraged by the volunteer turnout and would like to thank everyone that cares about keeping Naugatuck beautiful,” Rep. Rebimbas said.
