Rep. Rosa Rebimbas joined Naugatuck Mayor Bob Mezzo, Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz and Senator Joe Crisco recently to honor more than 35 Naugatuck Korean War veterans for their dedicated service to our country during the difficult conflict that lasted from 1950 through 1953.
Each servicemember received a State of Connecticut Korean War Veteran Public Service Award during the 90 minute ceremony that featured reflections of their service from the veterans themselves. Family members accepted the awards on behalf of veterans who were not able to attend the ceremony.
The event was held inside the Naugatuck High School auditorium.
