Sampson Meets Youths Raising Awareness to Homelessness

WOLCOTT — Rep. Rob Sampson visited young people today from Wolcott Congregational Church to help raise awareness to homelessness. The high school students, joined by kids from the Christian Fellowship Center in Bristol, camped out on the green here for a 24-hour simulation of what it’s like to be homeless. Sampson joined the young advocates around a bonfire, chatting with them about economic issues that have affected so many residents in this country. The students collected monetary donations and food for the Greater Waterbury Interfaith Mission food bank and the Christian Fellowship Center’s food pantry.
