The wait is over! The M8 cars passed more than a year of testing to make sure that they are passenger-ready. There have been sweeping improvements made to these cars covering everything from technology to aesthetics.
“Fairfield County’s commuters have been waiting with great anticipation for the arrival of the new M8 cars, and I am delighted that the first eight cars have arrived and are already in service. I want to thank the DOT for working diligently to surmount the obstacles and make this happen. Commuting every day is not easy, especially in fickle weather conditions, and these new cars should make commuting easier and more comfortable. Our hard-working commuters have been more than patient, and I hope that the roll-out of the rest of the cars will proceed on schedule,” said Representative Gail Lavielle (R-143).
