Rep. Srinivasan Attends Mental Health Board Legislative Breakfast

This morning the North Central Regional Mental Health Board held a legislative breakfast at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford to convey the results of evaluations of the State funded mental health services address the questions and concerns of legislators and guests.

State Representative Prasad Srinivasan, a member of the legislature’s public health committee and the only physician in the Connecticut legislature, addressed the room. Srinivasan discussed the importance of the mental health program and the need to continue funding it. He said early treatment is paramount to help keep patients away from emergency rooms and hospitals which can be very costly to the state.
