Carter Honors Scouts, Urges Continued Community Service

REDDING — The work of an Eagle Scout is never done. That was the message today from state Rep. Dan Carter, who participated in an Eagle Court of Honor ceremony for three scouts today at the First Church of Christ. Carter, an Eagle Scout himself, awarded special citations from the General Assembly to Matthew Bruhin, Jackson Gelinas and Jimmy Funnell. Eagle Scout is the highest advancement rank in Boy Scouting. The honorees are members of Troop 15 from Redding. Carter reminded the newly-minted Eagles that they’ll take that honor — and the responsibility — wherever they go. He encouraged them to use what they’ve learned in scouting to make their communities, this country and this world a better place. For more information about Scouting, click here.
