State Representatives Arthur O’Neill (R-69), David Labriola (R-131) and State Senator Rob Kane (R-Watertown) took questions from residents of their constituent districts at the Southbury Town Hall on April 14th.
After an introductory slideshow presentation by Sen. Kane outlining the Gov.’s plan and the effects it will have on taxpayers, especially the middle class, the veteran legislators offered an outline of the soon to be released Republican plan and then spent nearly two full hours taking questions from the audience.
The Republican plan, which is scheduled to be unveiled in about a week, will be a balance of desperately needed spending cuts and middle class tax relief designed to spur Connecticut’s economy and bring jobs back to the state while also balancing the $3.5 billion state deficit.
