WOLCOTT — State Rep. Rob Sampson was among those who helped the Connecticut Citizens Defense League celebrate during its second anniversary dinner, held at the Wolcott Land Owners Protective Association. Sampson is an ardent supporter of efforts to protect the rights of law-abiding gun owners, serving as a legislative point of contact for folks concerned about proposals that erode those rights. Sampson, for example, has been an outspoken critic of a controversial proposal to ban so-called “large capacity” gun magazines. Sampson serves on the legislature’s Judiciary Committee.
