Governor Malloy’s “Concession” Package

Recently, Governor Malloy hailed an agreement between the State and the unionized workers that, he said, would help balance the $2 Billion budget shortfall facing Connecticut. After analysis, however, his campaign promises not to raise taxes on the middle class and to create a package of “shared sacrifice” based on hard-line union concessions seem to have vanished.
