Rep. Christopher Davis (R-Ellington) served as keynote speaker at East Windsor’s Memorial Day ceremonies on Monday, May 30th, at the Joseph E. Tracy Veterans Memorial Green in Warehouse Point. Davis also participated in the rain-shortened parade from the East Windsor Town Hall Annex to the green. Rep. Davis spoke of the need to honor America’s nearly $1.3 million fallen heroes not only on each Memorial Day, but also year round:
“We, as Americans, need to live our lives everyday in honor of the men and women of the American armed forces who have sacrificed their lives in the defense of freedom worldwide,” said Davis. “As we enjoy the Memorial Day holiday with our friends and families, let us take a moment to reflect on the courage and bravery of those who served the American cause from the War for Independence to today.”
