On Saturday, June 25th, Rep. Marilyn Giuliano participated in the CT Elks and the Town of Westbrook barbecue and honors program at the Westbrook Elks Lodge located on Seaside Avenue. The day’s events were the culmination of a week long schedule called the “Taking Care of Our Own” Program to honor and support Veterans from the Wounded Warrior Project, all services, guard and reserves returning from tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Elks was founded as a patriotic, fraternal organization in 1868. One of its founding principles is to support those who have sacrificed for the United States and to never forget them.
