Perillo Achieves 100% Voting Record in 2011

State Representative Jason Perillo (R-113), the Ranking Member of the legislature’s Public Health Committee, was present for all 381 roll call votes cast during the 2011 session according to voting statistics released by the Clerk of the House of Representatives this month. Only twenty-five other members of the 151-member House of Representatives managed to maintain perfect attendance.

“Maintaining a good attendance record is certainly challenging for most members,” said Rep. Perillo. “Like me, many legislators have other jobs and responsibilities with their families. Also, the hours are pretty odd, many times going well past midnight. I just make a concerted effort to put the interests of those I represent in the forefront, to be certain their voices are heard on every significant question that comes before the full House.”

The next regular session of the legislature will convene in February of 2012, though a special session on jobs is anticipated in the fall of 2011.
