Rep. Greene spent Saturday in the district at the 13th annual Riverfest and Duck Race in Beacon Falls and then in Seymour for the Smoke in the Valley Beer and Chili festival.
The annual Riverfest event, now in its thirteenth year, is organized by the Lions and Lioness clubs and held behind Beacon Hose Company No. 1. The event offers something for everyone, including food and craft vendors, music, entertainment, a silent auction, kids activities and, of course, hundreds of small yellow ducks “racing” in the Naugatuck River current.
After visiting Riverfest, Rep. Greene headed down to Seymour for the 1st annual Smoke In The Valley Craft Beer and Chili Fest. That event featured more than 30 brewers, cigars, entertainment, home brewing supplies and a chili cook off featuring local fire department and ambulance corps with proceeds to benefit Seymour’s emergency services and local youth organizations.
