On Wednesday December 21st, State Representative Prasad Srinivasan attended a Menorah lighting ceremony in Glastonbury Center. Below are his remarks from the ceremony.
“It is wonderful to see our community coming together on this joyous occasion. We saw the community spirit of neighbor helping neighbour, neighbours going out of the way to give a helping hand during the two recent storms that had such a huge impact on all of us. In so many different ways, so many different organizations here in town are reaching out to those in need. That is the true spirit of the holidays. We all enjoy receiving, but we know the greater joy comes in giving and our community continues to walk the talk. “
“As we light the Menorah today , ‘Lead me from darkness to light’ is our prayer. May we take one more step to eliminate darkness and may we see the true light.”
“I want to wish everyone of you a wonderful holiday season, Happy New Year and may we all have a brighter tomorrow.”
