On Wednesday night the Asian Pacific American Coalition of CT and the Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission co-sponsored a celebration in honor of the new Lunar New Year 2012. The event, which ushered in the “Year of the Dragon,” took place in the Atrium of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.

Rep. Srinivasan took in traditional performances, ate traditional cuisine and was honored to meet with Asian American leaders such as famed forensic scientist Dr. Henry C. Lee and the new APAAC Executive Director, Mui Mui Hin-McCormick.
“I am delighted to see these vibrant cultures staying active in our community and state. I look forward to working with Executive Director McCormick on the daunting challenges ahead of us. I am thrilled to be here this evening.” Rep. Srinivasan said.
