Rep. Davis Visits Little House in the Country Day Care Facility

State Representative Christopher Davis made a trip to visit Little House in the Country child care facility in Ellington to visit with staff, meet the children and speak to owner Janet Settle about the challenges facing the business.

The day care facility accepts children has children from 6 months to 12 years and has a capacity to accept 100 children. The staff and children were excited to show Representative Davis the green room that is under contruction thanks to a grant the day care received with some assistance from Davis. The green room will provide an outdoor area for children to play that can be used in colder months and when it rains.

Owner of the Little House in the Country Day Care, Janet Settle, shows Rep. Davis the green room that is currently under construction.

However, the business is also dealing with the possibility of forced unionization, thanks to the executive orders from Governor Malloy. Nettle said she is worried about the effect the executive order will have on the day care business and her ability to maintain the same level of service to the children.
