Rep. O’Neill participates in Purim celebration in Southbury

Rep. O’Neill participated in a celebration of the Jewish holiday Purim at Southbury’s Walzer Center over the weekend. At the event he had the opportunity to speak with religious leaders, including Rabbi Eric Polikoff, who was dressed for the occasion as a character from the popular film Austin Powers – as revelers often dress in costume for the holiday. Rep. O’Neill was pleased to partake in the traditions of Purim, including the consumption of Hamatashyn, a triangular filled pastry.
