Rep. Srinivasan was joined by 5 Glastonbury business leaders on the morning of March 21 to conduct the first of many Business Advisory Council meetings. The purpose of the Council is to forge a stronger bond between local job creators and the State legislature. The panel shared their ideas, concerns and questions about Connecticut’s business climate. The State’s all-too-high taxes, the proposal to raise the minimum wage, last year’s paid sick leave law and the lack of available funding from banks for mortgages and small business loans were discussed at length. The group decided that they would meet every 6 weeks.
