Rep. O’Neill introduced several Southbury residents on the Floor of the House of Representatives during Friday’s legislative session. Three members of Boy Scout Troop 162 came to the Capitol following a visit to the Connecticut Supreme Court, where they took in a hearing on a proposal to establish a “Citizenship in the Community” merit badge.
Accompanying the Scouts was Brad Lewis, a Civil War reenactor and active contributor to the Southbury community. Rep. O’Neill led his fellow lawmakers in welcoming the group with a round of applause and commending them on their interest and participation in the legislative and judicial processes.
