Today, State Representative Gail Lavielle (R-143) welcomed members of Brien McMahon High School’s “Center for Youth Leadership” group to the State Capitol. This session these students have been to Hartford several times to testify on important issues like domestic and dating violence, proper enforcement of protective/restraining orders, and human trafficking as a part of their “socially engaged philanthropy.” Rep. Lavielle enjoyed working with these well researched, well spoken, outstanding young leaders as they spread awareness and take a stand for their community.
