On Wednesday, May 2nd, State Representative Terrie Wood joined House Minority Leader Larry Cafero and State Representative Gail Lavielle in welcoming members of Brien McMahon High School’s “Center for Youth Leadership” group to the State Capitol. During this session, these students have traveled to Hartford several times to testify on important issues like domestic and dating violence, proper enforcement of protective/restraining orders, and human trafficking as a part of their “socially engaged philanthropy.” The state representatives have enjoyed working with these well researched, well spoken, outstanding young leaders as they spread awareness and take a stand for their community.
