The Department of Banking has announced a third

Homeowners Mortgage Assistance Event:

Tuesday, July 10, 2012, 10:00am-7:00pm

University of Connecticut Student Union, 2110 Hillside Road, Storrs

One of the many unfortunate aspects of this difficult economy and high unemployment rate is the reality that so many Connecticut homeowners are now at risk for foreclosure. If you or someone you know is experiencing this challenge, I encourage you to attend this forum, which lasts from 10:00am to 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 10.

The event is designed to help people who are having difficulties with their mortgages and allows them to make direct contact with their lenders. In attendance will be HUD-approved housing counselors and agencies including the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, Connecticut Fair Housing Center and Judicial Foreclosure Mediation.

The following lenders have confirmed their participation: Bank of America, Citibank, First Niagara Bank, GMAC Mortgage, HSBC National Bank USA, JPMorgan Chase & Co., McCue Mortgage, Ocwen Loan Servicing, OneWest Bank/Indymac Mortgage Services, People’s United Bank, PNC Mortgage, Webster Bank and Wells Fargo Bank.
