Happy 100th Birthday to Greenwich Boy Scouts. Any birthday is a rite of passage, a celebration, and a time to reflect.
A milestone birthday is certainly cause to think about how the Boy Scout program has enriched the lives of generations of young people … creating friends, the capacity for learning, a standard of excellence, a sense of self, a sense of community service, and a sense of life’s possibilities.
The July 12th celebration was made even more special to me due to the surroundings … it is truly a joy to witness the conservation protection and environmental preservation practiced at an open space treasure – The Seton Reservation on Riversville Road.
Thank you to the entire Greenwich Boy Scout organization and best wishes for many more happy birthdays.
