If you need assistance with your utility bills and are in an emergency situation, Operation Fuel is now accepting applications for the Summer Utility Assistance Program.
The Program provides a one-time cash grant of up to $500 to help income eligible households in need of urgent help. The program defines “emergency situations” to include job loss and certain medical conditions.
Assistance is for heat or non-heat gas or electric utilities, and is paid directly to the utility. Households that have received assistance from Operation Fuel over the past 12 months are not eligible to apply. Applicants are awarded on a first come, first served basis and the program will end by October 31st. For more information, dial 2-1-1 or visit www.operationfuel.org.
