Rep. Rebimbas partners with Marshals to present donation to Naugatuck YMCA

Last night in Ansonia State Rep. Rosa C. Rebimbas (R-70) had the honor of presenting a $500 contribution to the Naugatuck YMCA on behalf of the New Haven County Marshals Association.

During the event, which took place at John J. Sullivan’s, the Marshals invited state lawmakers to present thousands of dollars in charitable contributions to area organizations.

“I would like to thank the New Haven County Marshals for their generosity, and for allowing me to present these funds which will go a long way in touching many people’s lives,” said Rep. Rebimbas, who has been heavily involved in community service for years. “I appreciate the courage the Marshals demonstrate in their profession and the kindness they continue to show the community.”

Folks from the New Haven County Marshals Association look on as Rep. Rebimbas presents a $500 donation to the Naugatuck YMCA.

Connecticut State Marshals have the challenging task of serving the public concerning criminal matters and civil proceedings, such as collections, divorce and foreclosure. They also serve court papers including subpoenas, notices of depositions and withholding orders.

Rep. Rebimbas added “The Naugatuck YMCA provides quality, affordable programs and services to local families. I chose them because they are a well deserving organization and I’m sure they will use this donation to give back even more to our community.”

The New Haven County Marshal Association was formed in 2003 with the purpose of sponsoring good will among New Haven County Marshals and providing an informational forum and exchange for their professional benefit. For more information, visit www.ctmarshals.us.
