One of my favorite holiday traditions in recent years has been raising money for local residents-in-nee­­­­d by collecting for the Salvation Army. Greeting friends and constituents and sharing the warmth of the season while helping our community is a great way to get into the holiday spirit.

This year, I will be outside of the Wallingford Stop and Shop and ringing the Salvation Army bell on Saturday, December 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

DESPP Releases 2023 Crime in CT Report; Property Crime up 11%, Car Theft 48%

I just wanted you to know that the state’s Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection publishes the annual Crime in Connecticut Report that contains multiple crime statistics placed inside three larger categories titled Crimes Against Persons, Crimes Against Property and Crimes Against Society.

I just wanted you to know that on Saturday, November 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Hartford HealthCare volunteers will offer medical exams, podiatry services and more to our most vulnerable communities at no charge and with no insurance required. The one-day mission also provides eyeglasses, winter coats, haircuts and other necessities.
