Elected to office in November 2010, Michael Molgano truly appreciates the opportunity to help the people of Stamford and the State of Connecticut. He currently serves on the Education, Transportation, and Government Administration and Elections committees.
Molgano has dedicated his whole life to public service. Born and raised in Stamford, he has been honored to serve on the Stamford Board of Representatives. Molgano represented the 15th and 16th Districts of Stamford on the Board from 2002 to 2011. He took on leadership roles such as Vice-Chair and Co-Chair of the Education Committee and he also sat on the Steering, Appointments, Housing Community Development/Social Services and State and Commerce Committees.
In his first term as State Representative, he has sat on the Education, Transportation, and Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committees. In addition, he was one of the twelve members appointed to the Governor’s Education Cost Sharing Task Force (ECS) that completed its work on January 3, 2013.
Outside of his public life, Molgano is a dedicated member and Permanent Reader, St. Bridget of Ireland Church. He is a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Molgano received his Associate’s Degree in Business Information Processing from Business Information Processing Education for the Disabled (BIPED) and works as an IT Professional.
